Pathways to Purpose

Will They Ever Realize My Value?

Will an avoidant compare every future relationship to the person they pushed away? This book follows that question all the way to the end — not to the answer you hoped for, but to the one that actually heals you. Because the most important shift in this whole story doesn't happen on their side. It happens on yours.

Every chapter gives you five things

What It Looks Like

The pattern, named plainly — the words, the moves, the signs you kept second-guessing.

The Teaching

Why the pattern works — and why it worked on you. Said gently, meant completely.

What It Is Not

The line between a pattern and a bad day — so you stay honest, not accusing.

What You Can Do

Practical moves for the next time it happens — including when the answer is “get safe.”

The Biblical Lens

A whole section on what Scripture already named: pride, deception, manipulation, control, and the freedom of boundaries.

A Truth to Hold

One sentence per chapter to keep in your pocket for the hard moments.

The journey, chapter by chapter

Read it in order if you are still in the ache. Open it at the chapter that matches your day if you are further along — the day they came back, the day you caught yourself waiting, the day you finally stopped.

Taught by someone who lived it

I'm Nikkimae — a survivor of 25 years of domestic violence. When my own family turned on me for breaking the cycle, I rebuilt my life on faith, honesty, and tools that actually work. I don't teach theory. I teach what I lived — gentle in how I say it, unmovable in what I say. This book is the third in the series: the workbook heals, the pattern book names, and this one frees — it follows one question to the answer that heals on your side.

"I'm not teaching you to hate the person who hurt you. I'm teaching you how to heal, recognize unhealthy patterns, establish godly boundaries, and stop abandoning yourself in the name of love."

If my pain can save one person, then it was worth it. Maybe that one person is you.

Questions

How do I get the book?

Instantly. After checkout, Gumroad gives you the PDF download right away and emails you a receipt with the link. No account needed to buy.

Can I print it?

Yes — it's designed for it. Read it on any device, or print it and keep it where you need it most.

Do I need the other books first?

No. This book stands on its own — it follows one question from start to finish. The workbook and the pattern book are companions, not prerequisites.

I'm still waiting for them to realize it. Is this for me?

Yes — especially you. This book was written for exactly where you are: waiting for someone else's realization. It will walk you, gently, to the question that ends the waiting.

Is this therapy?

No — it's peer support and education from a survivor, not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 anytime, or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. You are worth immediate help.

Your healing was never on their schedule.

Chapter 10

The Shift on Your Side

"When the empath stops making their healing dependent on whether the avoidant eventually understands what they lost, the attachment begins to reorganize."

Reorganize is a gentle word for a powerful thing. It means the bond stops running your calendar. It means their opinion stops being the weather in your life. It means you start making decisions from your own wisdom again — not from the hope that one day they will finally see.

What you can do: Name one decision you've been postponing until they realize. Make it this week. Then practice the sentence: "My healing is not on their schedule."

Truth to hold: Your healing was never on their schedule.
